Geocase hosted a meeting with Mr William Lahue, the former head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia and a former NATO liaison officer in the South Caucasus

On October 10, 2019, Geocase hosted the first of the series of informal "coffee chat" gatherings, entitled "Georgia's NATO Membership - opportunity and roadblocks: thoughts and reflections".


The event’s keynote speaker was Mr William Lahue, the former head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia and a former NATO liaison officer in the South Caucasus.


Mr Victor Kipiani, the chair of Geocase, moderated the meeting the aim of which was to discuss NATO-Georgia relations and perspectives of Georgia's NATO membership.


At the meeting, the representatives of the civil and public sectors, diplomatic corps and researchers discussed various ways and the prospect of Georgia's NATO membership as well as other optimal options for strengthening the country's security within the Atlantic community.
