Former Chief of Defense and Military Representative of Georgia to NATO and EU Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze (retired) joins Geocase

From the beginning of 2021, the Doctor of Military Sciences, former Chief of Staff at Ministry of Defense and Military Representative of Georgia to NATO and EU, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze (retired), will join a team of fellows of the analytical organization Geocase.

 

In recent years, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze has been actively participating in a wide range of military-technical and military-political seminars, workshops, and conferences held under the auspices of NATO and the European Union.

 

Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze has been awarded 15 orders, medals, and badges, including the Order of Honor, Vakhtang Gorgasali 3rd Degree Order, the Medal for Combat Wound, the U.S. National Guard Honorary Order, the Golden Cross of the German Armed Forces, the Gold Medal of the National Military Academy of Ukraine, and the Medal of Honor of the Danish Territorial Guard.

 

Among his numerous merits, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze is a member of the Hall of Fame of the US Army War College and the Honorary Doctor of the Military Academy of the Ukrainian Land Forces.

 

Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze will actively continue to work in the analytical organization Geocase on the challenges and risks of the Georgian national security system, the military aspects of NATO-Georgia cooperation, coalition operations of the country's armed forces, will provide an expert-political assessment of the hybrid war as a new reality, military-political analysis of the conflicts in the Black Sea region, aspects and challenges of the country's defense construction, and other important issues.
