Geocase and Diplomatic Institute held a joint training event

Geocase and the Diplomatic Institute held yet another joint training within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the organizations. The Geocase training course students visited the Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. Tinatin Bregvadze, the head of the Diplomatic Institute, and Victor Kipiani, Chairman of Geocase, addressed the students with welcoming speeches. 


"I am very glad to be here today with our students and have the opportunity to discuss extremely interesting issues. A career as a diplomat requires really hard work as achieving key objectives of the country with limited resources is very challenging indeed. More events of the similar format will be held for the youngsters in terms of our training program,"- said Victor Kipiani.


Ambassador Mikheil Ukleba, a researcher at the Diplomatic School, delivered a lecture on Georgian-Russian relations. He spoke about the context and important details of Russian-Georgian relations after the collapse of the Soviet Union.


Khatuna Burkadze, Director of American and Euro-Atlantic Studies at Geocase was also among the event attendees.

 
The event was part of the sixth module of the training course - "Russia's Foreign Policy Towards the Separatist Regions in the South Caucasus" - led by Emil Avdaliani, Director of Middle East Studies at Geocase.


Undergraduate and graduate students from six Georgian universities are participating in the Geocase Student Program – ‘Foreign Policy and Security'.
