“We can develop and offer new initiatives to partners at the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which will be held in Bucharest on November 29-30, 2022.   Inviting Georgia to the upcoming NATO ministerial meeting is a significant opportunity for the Georgian side to enhance relations with member states of the Alliance and stimulate the creation of a new joint institutional mechanism for strengthening our security, and defense capabilities. Also, this decision has illustrated that Georgia is a valuable partner for the Alliance,” – noted Dr. Khatuna Burkadze.  

“The Upcoming NATO ministerial meeting should be a significant step for preparing the 2023 NATO Summit in Vilnius. The development of new proposals can facilitate new practical and political decisions in Vilnius. Because of the changed security environment, it is essential to accelerate Georgia’s integration into the North Atlantic Alliance,”- underlined Dr. Khatuna Burkadze.

“NATO will assist Georgia to build its resilience and develop capabilities by new security measures. According to the 2022 NATO Strategic Concept, the Alliance will enhance its support to partners affected by Russian threats including Georgia to strengthen their defense capabilities,” – added Dr. Khatuna Burkadze.
