Geocase Welcomes Liana Jervalidze as New Team Member


Geocase is delighted to announce the addition of Liana Jervalidze to its team of esteemed analysts. With a wealth of experience in energy policy, regional connectivity, and international relations, Ms. Jervalidze brings invaluable expertise to Geocase.
 

Currently, she serves as a member of the Hydrogen Committee at the Georgian Energy Development Fund (GEDF) and is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Sectoral Economy Committee of the Parliament.
 

Before joining Geocase, Ms. Jervalidze served as an adviser to the President of Georgia on regional energy and transport security and connectivity. In this role, she played a crucial part in fostering collaboration between government entities and energy institutions. Ms. Jervalidze's contributions extended to drafting key national energy and climate action plans, participating in energy and transport conferences across various countries, and organizing the Caspian and Black Sea Connectivity panel at the Women’s Second Forum in July 2023.
 

Prior to her advisory role, Ms. Jervalidze held positions as a researcher/analyst at the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation and served as the Director of the Caucasus Media, Energy, and Environment Project at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. She has also worked with international entities such as USAID contractors and advised commercial entities based in Baku.
 

Throughout her career, Ms. Jervalidze has been actively engaged in energy-related forums and conferences worldwide, where she has presented on topics ranging from energy security to transit routes. She is widely published in both Georgian and English languages.
 

Ms. Jervalidze She is an alumna of the Kennan Institute of Advanced Russian Studies in Washington DC and the Reading University Business School Eurasia Studies Project in the UK. She is a member of the IREX Alumni Association, the Wilson Centre Alumni Association, and the Reading University Association.
 

Her multilingual proficiency in Georgian, Russian, English, and French, along with her familiarity with Turkish, enhances her ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in the energy sector.
