Prof. Dr. Khatuna Burkadze, Director of Foreign Policy Studies at "Geocase" said: "We should improve relations with the new U.S. administration, which, first of all, is necessary to ensure our national interests. The United States of America is a strategic partner of Georgia and, at the same time, a strategic ally in defense and security. We must review and abolish all those decisions that have become obstacles to the bilateral cooperation between Georgia and America. The enhancement of the US-Georgia relations will play a significant role in protecting peace, ensuring security, and achieving tangible results on Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic path".
"We should adopt decisions crucial for the democratization of the country. This process will improve relations with the United States and other partners. Unfortunately, the backsliding of democracy has become a key challenge for implementing Georgian foreign policy priorities. This democratic backsliding must end in Georgia, and we must focus on the goals of state importance," - added Prof. Dr. Khatuna Burkadze.
