Biography

Mr Tadaharu Uehara is a membr of the Geocase Advisory Board.

Mr Uehara served as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia from 2017 to 2020 and is a distinguished former career diplomat with extensive experience of geo-strategic and geo-economic issues.

In addition to his successful diplomatic career, Mr Uehara’s professional portfolio includes a number of high-profile positions within the insurance industry, namely Tokio Marine Holdings, the largest private insurance group in Japan, and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance, the official export credit agency of Japan. He has deep knowledge of global risk management.

He is currently serving as an Audit and Supervisory Board Member of Tokyo Ohka Kogyo, a top manufacturer of photo-resist materials for a variety of semiconductors.

He has graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan.
