Biography

With a distinguished career spanning over 24 years, Nikoloz Alavidze has cultivated expertise in Corporate Banking, Finance, International Trade Finance, Consulting, and Governance, consistently navigating the intricacies of the business world.

After a fruitful banking career, he assumed the esteemed role of Vice Minister in the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia in 2019. During this impactful tenure, he spearheaded critical initiatives, overseeing Investment Policy and Investor Support, Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency, Communications, Information and Modern Technologies, Tourism, and Mountain Resorts Development.

Beyond his governmental role, Nikoloz proudly served as a Senior Advisor to Georgian Rugby, where his heart lies and the game is not just a sport but a vital part of Georgian national identity.

As an entrepreneur, Nikoloz wears multiple hats as a Managing Partner in various companies, steering these ventures towards success. His commitment extends to Impact Investments, reflecting a dedication to positive social change and environmental advocacy.

In the realm of angel investing, he is actively involved in numerous private initiatives, focusing on Social Impact Investments that make a meaningful difference in society.

Armed with a Master's Degree in International Economics from Tbilisi State University (2000) and a Master's Degree in Innovations Management from Grenoble Graduate School of Management, France (2015), he brings a wealth of knowledge to every endeavor, blending experience with a forward-looking approach.

Fluent in Georgian (his native language), English, and Russian, Nikoloz also possesses a basic command of Japanese.

Nikoloz and his wife are nature lovers and hikers, together with their three children, Golden Retriever and ginger cat.
